$10 CAD PER 150 GRAMS

(FREE DELIVERY IN CANADA! Limit 3 portions per order)

Each 150 gram  portion is enough to fertilize over 250 gallons in a low or medium light aquarium.

Mix of calcium, magnesium, nitrogen, potassium and other beneficial nutrients for the planted aquarium.

A comprehensive fertilizer, iron supplement and mineral supplement all rolled in one.

No copper, zinc, molybdenum or any other ingredients which could potentially be toxic to sensitive animals, only the bare minimum required to see the plants in your aquarium grow.

---

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 teaspoon per 10 gallons of the mixture gets dissolved in warm water, is mixed into your water bucket and added to the aquarium during regular partial water changes.

---

ANALYSIS:

This fertilizer mix contains a NPK ratio of 1.1.1, with the following ingredients:

KNO3 - Potassium Nitrate

K2S04 - Potassium Sulfate

KH2PO4 - Monopotassium phosphate

PLUS

 beneficial minerals like

CaCl2 - Calcium chloride

 MgSO4·7H2O - Magnesium sulfate

AND

Chelated iron which supports plant growth and development  and reddening of plants with red pigmentation.

NOTE: This fertilizer is designed to provide only the bare minimum of fertilizers needed to keep "low tech" plants, which don't require CO2 injection, high light, or high levels of nutrients.

If you want to grow medium or high light plants, I'd recommend getting the "MICROS & MACROS" or the "EVERYTHING" instead.

MACRONUTRIENTS

Potassium Sulfate (K2SO4) - 62.5%

Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) - 6.41%

Magnesium sulphate (MgSO4·7H2O) - 4.32%

MICRONUTRIENTS

Iron (Fe) - 2.1%

Manganese (Mn) - 0.6%,

Boron (B)- 0.38%

Copper (Cu) - 0.03%

Molybdenum (Mo) - 0.1%

Zinc (Zn) - 0.1%

Add to 300 ml distilled water in a food safe container and shake well to dissolve. Store away from light, or in a dark coloured container. Keep in the fridge if desired.

DOSING:

Lightly Planted: 2 drops per 10 gallons

Heavily Planted: 4 drops per 10 gallons

(20 drops = 1 ml)

Best added daily so as to keep levels as stable as possible and help prevent any of the nutrients running out. It is best to dose at the same time each day, preferably just before lights on.

Continue to do partial water changes as usual, about 25 to 50% every week or two, to prevent nutrients from building up to excessive levels.

Individual water chemistry in your tap water or aquarium water may cause your needs to vary. Be sure to test your water parameters, and adjust the amount of fertilizer used as needed.

WARNING!

Please use caution when handling fertilizers, avoiding contact with mouth and eyes, and keep away from the reach of young children.

Some of the trace ingredients such as copper and zinc may be toxic to amphibians and invertebrates, however many report having no issues with the recommended dose.

     MICROS & MACROS

LIQUID FERTILIZER

FOR AQUATIC PLANTS

"Perpetual Preservation System TM: The Most Accurate Aquatic Plant Fertilizers"

These pre-mixed liquid micronutrients (iron, copper, zinc, etc.) and macronutrients (NPK) formulas are a convenient way of giving your aquatic  plants all the nutrients they need in order to reach their full potential.

Keeping the micros and macros separate allows you to have greater precision and target feed based on your water parameters or  any particular needs of the plant species you're keeping.

The listed doses are intended for a fully planted tank. For newly planted or partially planted tanks, I would recommend you start out with 50% dose and go from there.

                 F.A.Q.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MICROS & MACROS / PPS-PRO

Q: "How do I fit Micros & Macros into my water change schedule?"

A: "Dose MICROS and MACROS at the same time daily for a week. Do weekly partial water changes as usual."

---

Q: "How much will each dose of fertilizer change my water parameters?"

A: Your individual water chemistry may cause your results to vary a bit, but 1ml per 10 gallons of MACROS adds approximately:

Nitrate (NO3) - 1 ppm
Phosphate (PO4) - 1 ppm
Potassium (K) - 1.33 ppm
 Magnesium (Mg) - 0.1 ppm

and 1.0 ml per 10 gallons of MICROS adds approximately:

Iron (Fe) - 0.1ppm
Manganese (Mn) - 0.04ppm
Copper (Cu) - 0.004ppm
Molybdenum (Mo) - 0.004ppm

---

"How much should I adjust the doses based on my lighting and how densely planted my tank is?"

These recommended doses are based on the needs of the average moderately planted tank. If yours is heavily planted, you may safely double the dose.

If your tank is sparsely or newly planted, use a 50% dose.

LOW LIGHT:

Micros - 0.25 ML or 5 drops per 10 gallons
Macros - 0.5 ML 10 drops per 10 gallons

"With 50% weekly partial water changes, water column nutrient levels should reach approx. 7 ppm NO3, 0.7 ppm PO4, 9 ppm K, 0.7 ppm Mg, 0.35 ppm Fe(TE)".

MEDIUM LIGHT:

Micros - 0.5 ML or 10 drops per 10 gallons
Macros - 1 ML or 20 drops per 10 gallons

"With 50% weekly partial water changes, water column nutrient levels should reach approx. 14 ppm NO3, 1.4 ppm PO4, 18 ppm K, 1.4 ppm Mg, 0.7 ppm Fe(TE)".

HIGH LIGHT:

Micros - 1 ML or 20 drops per 10 gallons
Macros - 2 ML or 40 drops per 10 gallons

"With 50% weekly partial water changes, water column nutrient levels should reach approx. 28 ppm NO3, 2.8 ppm PO4, 36 ppm K, 2.8 ppm Mg, 1.4 ppm Fe(TE)"
---

Q: “What kind of lighting do I need with this system?”

A: "MICROS & MACROS works with lots of different lighting setups. The general guidelines are:

Low Light ( Under 2 wpg) 10-12 hours a day
Medium Light (2.0 – 3.0 wpg) 8-10 hours a day
High Light ( 3.0 – 4.0 wpg) 7-8 hours a day
Very High Light (4+ wpg) 6 (Expert level)"

---

“Can I mix the two solutions in one bottle?”

"No. The solution must be kept separate. The trace elements in the Micro mix react badly with the Macro components of the other mix at the concentration present in the solutions."
---

Q: “Why is my macro mix cloudy with stuff settling to the bottom?”

A: "A couple potential reasons:

• Impurities in the ingredients
• Did not use distilled water
• Did not let sit overnight
• The container is not a chemical resistant plastic or glass.

No worries, just shake well."
---

Q: "Do I need to do regular water changes?”

A: "No – Maybe – Yes

No: MICROS & MACROS does not add excessive nutrients to the tank, so in a plants only tank no water changes should be required.

Maybe: In a tank with high fish load like discus fish, the waste from the fish and food could lead to less than desirable water quality. Watch your NO3 nitrate levels. That will give you a good idea.

Yes. Certain substrates leach into the water and require the water to be changed. Water changes do not hurt. So if you have fish go for it..."
---

Q: “How long will the dry chemicals last?”

A: "There is no expiry date on dry chemicals. As long as they are kept dry in sealed bags they are OK."

---

Q: “Can I mix the chemicals together?”

A: "Not recommended."

*** If you prefer a single solution, try the "EVERYTHING" All-In-One Fertilizer. ***

---

Q: “How often do I dose?”

A: "MICROS & MACROS is designed to be dosed daily at the same time. Just like feeding fish, feeding plants."
---

Q: “When do I dose?”

A: "The best time to dose is anytime before lights go on so the nutrients are available for photosynthesis.

Daily dosing before lighting period starts, helps maintaining better balance, higher plant uptake and healthier plants."

---

Q: “Can I dose Macros and Micros at the same time?”

A: "Yes. Simply dose both at the same time into moving water."

The clear cellulose capsules are made out of 100% vegan ingredients, with no gelatin or any other animal byproducts.

These root tabs are meant to be used within terracotta plant pots, or else planted deep in the substrate of a planted tank.

Heavy root feeders like swords and crypts should have one or two deep in the substrate within each plant pot, or one per about every 6 inches of the average planted aquarium.

Don’t overdo it. It’s best to start with a minimal amount, and increase the amount if needed. Make sure the tabs are always well buried. New tabs should be added every 6 months, or every 3 months at higher end tropical temperatures.

For best results, both root tabs and water column fertilizers may be used simultaneously.
